à  åÇéÌÇùÑÀëÌÅí ìÈáÈï áÌÇáÌÉ÷Æø, åÇéÀðÇùÌÑÅ÷ ìÀáÈðÈéå åÀìÄáÀðåÉúÈéå--åÇéÀáÈøÆêÀ àÆúÀäÆí; åÇéÌÅìÆêÀ åÇéÌÈùÑÈá ìÈáÈï, ìÄîÀ÷ÉîåÉ. 1 And early in the morning Laban rose up, and kissed his sons and his daughters, and blessed them. And Laban departed, and returned unto his place.
á  åÀéÇòÂ÷Éá, äÈìÇêÀ ìÀãÇøÀëÌåÉ; åÇéÌÄôÀâÌÀòåÌ áåÉ, îÇìÀàÂëÅé àÁìÉäÄéí. 2 And Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him.

ä  åÇéÀöÇå àÉúÈí, ìÅàîÉø, ëÌÉä úÉàîÀøåÌï, ìÇàãÉðÄé ìÀòÅùÒÈå:  ëÌÉä àÈîÇø, òÇáÀãÌÀêÈ éÇòÂ÷Éá, òÄí ìÈáÈï âÌÇøÀúÌÄé, åÈàÅçÇø òÇã òÈúÌÈä. 5 And he commanded them, saying: 'Thus shall ye say unto my lord Esau: Thus saith thy servant Jacob: I have sojourned with Laban, and stayed until now.
å  åÇéÀäÄé ìÄé ùÑåÉø åÇçÂîåÉø, öÉàï åÀòÆáÆã åÀùÑÄôÀçÈä; åÈàÆùÑÀìÀçÈä ìÀäÇâÌÄéã ìÇàãÉðÄé, ìÄîÀöÉà çÅï áÌÀòÅéðÆéêÈ. 6 And I have oxen, and asses and flocks, and men-servants and maid-servants; and I have sent to tell my lord, that I may find favour in thy sight.'

ëà  åÇàÂîÇøÀúÌÆí--âÌÇí äÄðÌÅä òÇáÀãÌÀêÈ éÇòÂ÷Éá, àÇçÂøÅéðåÌ:  ëÌÄé àÈîÇø àÂëÇôÌÀøÈä ôÈðÈéå, áÌÇîÌÄðÀçÈä äÇäÉìÆëÆú ìÀôÈðÈé, åÀàÇçÂøÅé ëÅï àÆøÀàÆä ôÈðÈéå, àåÌìÇé éÄùÌÒÈà ôÈðÈé. 21 and ye shall say: Moreover, behold, thy servant Jacob is behind us.' ëç  åÇéÌÉàîÆø àÅìÈéå, îÇä ùÌÑÀîÆêÈ; åÇéÌÉàîÆø, éÇòÂ÷Éá. 28 And he said unto him: 'What is thy name?' And be said: 'Jacob.'

ì  åÇéÌÄùÑÀàÇì éÇòÂ÷Éá, åÇéÌÉàîÆø äÇâÌÄéãÈä ðÌÈà ùÑÀîÆêÈ, åÇéÌÉàîÆø, ìÈîÌÈä æÌÆä úÌÄùÑÀàÇì ìÄùÑÀîÄé; åÇéÀáÈøÆêÀ àÉúåÉ, ùÑÈí. 30 And Jacob asked him, and said: 'Tell me, I pray thee, thy name.' And he said: 'Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name?' And he blessed him there.
ìà  åÇéÌÄ÷ÀøÈà éÇòÂ÷Éá ùÑÅí äÇîÌÈ÷åÉí, ôÌÀðÄéàÅì:  ëÌÄé øÈàÄéúÄé àÁìÉäÄéí ôÌÈðÄéí àÆì ôÌÈðÄéí, åÇúÌÄðÌÈöÅì ðÇôÀùÑÄé. 31 And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: 'for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.'
