Disable file exists checking
Tick this option to stop VLink from checking whether or not a file exists (and giving you a warning if it does not) when it is running a link. Use this option if VLink is giving warnings for files that either should exist, or files that are not local and that it has not detected as being non-local.

Link direct to files
This option will find the links that Windows shortcuts point to and link to them instead, whenever you try to add a link to a Windows shortcut. Otherwise, VLink will simply link to the shortcut itself.

Force Order
Using the force order options, you can set VLink to control the order in which multiple links are run in multiple run launches. There are two different approaches to achieving this, and a further option listed below that affects both of the force order styles.

Adaptive
This will attempt to detect if a launched program is running already, and therefore move onto the next link in the list to be run. So, times between running programs may vary using this method depending on how long a link actually takes to launch. However, programs with splash screens can prove seriously problematic to the success of the detection routine, and are highly likely to result in an incorrect final ordering. The 'Force order speed' setting is still used in the detection routine to set how long it waits before checking again whether the current link has been successfully launched.

Simple wait
This approach simply waits the amount of time set in 'Force order speed' between running each link, and attempts no detection. Moving the slider to the right results in longer waits between running each link. Simple wait is generally more reliable.

Force order speed
Set this in general according to the speed of your computer. If links are not being run in order, set the slider closed to the right, and if there is too much of a pause between running links, set it further to the left. Note that overall system stress levels will also affect performance.
