INTRODUCTION

All-in-1 Personal Organizer (APO) is an ergonomic personal information
manager (PIM) with three main uses. First, it's a tool for managing any
kind of personal information such as tasks, events, contacts, notes, file
links and Web links. Second, it's an image viewer. Finally, it can be
used as a mind integrator useful for reflection, self-analysis and
self-improvement.

All information is contained in one or more password-protected Microsoft
Access 2000 databases (however, you don't need to install Access 2000).

The information is divided into up to 44 customizable collections
(usage domains) and an unlimited number of categories.

APO can display stored information not only as a grid or list, but
also as a calendar, tree map, tag map, sticky note, random map, slide
show of random items etc., complete with auto-tiling, drag and drop,
and various kinds of animations.

As an image viewer, APO has advanced capabilities to select and watch
pictures and crop them on the fly even during slide shows. It can create
slide shows based on folder trees or search results.

With more than 20 different window forms, APO gives you in one product
all the functions you may ask from a powerful, yet simple to use
organizer for home and office use, plus capabilities you have never
seen in any other product or even imagined.

The unregistered version of APO can only be used for 30 days from
installation. Check the current APO registration policy and price at:

APO has been conceived and developed by Bruno Cancellieri
(www.cancellieri.org).

HOW TO INSTALL APO

To install APO you need a full kit (file personal_fullx.zip) available
from the APO web site (www.cancellieri.org/pmo_index.htm).
Download personal_fullx.zip into a hard disk and open it, then run
setup.exe.

It may happen that after copying a few files, the setup program
display a message like this: "Setup cannot continue because some system
files are out of date on your system...". This is normal in some computers.
In this case, you have to confirm the modification of the system files,
exit the setup program, restart your computer and run setup from
personal_full.zip again. Follow the instructions of the setup program.
At the end of the installation, APO can be run from the 'Programs /
All-in-1 Personal Organizer' entry of the Windows Start Menu.

GETTING STARTED WITH THE DEMO.MDB AND MYDB.MDB DATABASES

When starting APO for the first time, a dialog window with registration
information will appear. Choose the option you prefer and follow
the instructions, you will then be prompted to choose a database. Select
the "demo.mdb" database. Depending on the kit version, demo.mdb can be
provided without a password or with the password "demo".

After some practise with demo.mdb you can start your own personal database
by using "mydb.mdb" (an empty database). You can then rename this database
and set its password by means of the respective command in the main context
menu. You may also use the "save database as ..." function to create
a copy of the database with a name of your choice and place it in any
directory. Depending on the kit version, mydb.mdb can be provided without
a password or with the password "mydb".

HOW TO UNINSTALL APO

Use the "Uninstall" command under Programs / All-in-1 Personal Organizer
in the Start Menu or use the "Add/remove programs" function of the Windows
control panel.
