[A]. INTRODUCTION

Thank you for downloading Fundraiser Mentor for Microsoft Access97. In order to be able to use Fundraiser Mentor, you will need to have Microsoft Access97 installed on the computer that you will be using the Fundraiser Mentor application on.

[B]. DESCRIPTION

Fundraiser Mentor for Microsoft Access97 is a shareware application which helps manage fundraising events and donations for your organization or company. Print customized  receipts with your organizations name and logo. Generate mailing labels for receipts, events, etc. Includes reporting features for payments, deposits, etc.

[D]. REQUIREMENTS-HARDWARE

Minimum Hardware Requirements To run  Fundraiser Mentor
1. PC compatible  486 at 66Mhz, 24 Mb RAM
2. Video card capable of  800x600 resolution 
3. 15" desktop monitor supporting above resolution.


Recommended  Hardware Requirements To run  Fundraiser Mentor
1. PC compatible Pentium 166Mhz; 32 Mb RAM
2. Video card at 800x600 or greater resolution.
3. Desktop 17" monitor supporting above resolutions
4. SoundBlaster-compatible sound card with external headphones / speakers is highly recommended if you wish to run the multimedia tutorial with sound.

[E]. REQUIREMENTS-SOFTWARE

1. Any of the following Microsoft Windows 95c; 98; 98SE/ME; Windows2000 or NT4. 
2. Microsoft Access97 [make sure that you have the correct version of Fundraiser Mentor for your copy of Access.
Note: You must have a copy of Microsoft Access installed on your computer since Fundraiser Mentor will not run without Microsoft Access.

[F]. INSTALLATION

The Fundraiser Mentor package requires about 10-12Mb of free disk space. Before installing the application, please make sure that your computer has enough free disk space.

This installer comes with the evaluation or shareware  [Demo] version of the Fundraiser Mentor application. The shareware version  will allow you to fully test the application's features and has a limit of 50 records.


The shareware version may be upgraded to the  Retail version at any time. All the data that you have saved in the shareware version may be used when you upgrade to the Retail version.

To install Fundraiser Mentor on your computer:
1. double-click the "Setup.exe" or "Setup" file to launch the installer. During installation, the installer will automatically place the application files in "C:\Mentorex\FundraiserMentor\"  in the top or root level of your C:\ drive partition. Do NOT rename or change this installation directory! 

Once installation is completed, a new Program Group will be created called "FundraiserMentor" inside
your Windows Start button under "Programs". Launch the application by going to your Windows Start button and selecting Fundraiser Mentor from the  Program group.

[G]. UNINSTALLING FUNDRAISER MENTOR

Note: If you are upgrading to the Retail version, you do NOT need to uninstall the shareware version of Fundraiser Mentor application.

To remove the Fundraiser Mentor application from your computer, select the "Uninstall" icon from the FundraiserMentor program group. All components will be removed with the exception of the database file "donations.mdb". This was done so as to prevent any accidental or unauthorized removal of your data.  This file must be removed manually. 

The path to this file is "C:\Mentorex\FundraiserMentor\donations\donations.mdb". To remove it, drag it into your computers' Recycling Bin.

[H]. BEFORE UPGRADING TO RETAIL VERSION

Upgrading of the Fundraiser Mentor application will not overwrite the "donations.mdb" file where all the donation data is stored. This means that the data that you have entered in a previous installation will be available  when you install the Retail versions of the application.

In any case, it is always advisable to keep current backup copies of the "donations.mdb" file for safekeeping. The default path to this file is "C:\Mentorex\FundraiserMentor\donations\donations.mdb". Making frequent backups of this file is a good idea in the event of a computer crash or virus attack, etc.

[I]. PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF RETAIL VERSIONS

--> Be sure to check our Web Site for the latest versions of the software!

--> The Retail  version of Fundaraiser Mentor may be installed over the shareware version without the need to first  remove or uninstall the shareware version. 


To purchase, you must have a connection to the Internet. A valid credit card number along with your name, e-mail, and address information will be required. 

All transactions are done via secure encrypted connections. Once the transaction is completed successfully, a printable receipt will be provided for you to print for your records. A separate receipt will also be e-mailed to you for verification purposes, to the e-mail address that you have specified. 

Once the software is downloaded, follow the directions in the installer to complete the installation.
