                        ABOUT THE ICONS HERE...
                        -----------------------

The icons in this collection have been gathered from a variety of sources.
Don't remember where all of them are from, though. I'm pretty sure some
are from J.P. Greenert, Lord Jonin, HAO, Curtis Cameron, Kikuyan, Eric
Wong, and some other folks (There are some 200LX stock icons here, too).
About 15-20% are my original designs, and another 20% are modifications of
other people's work.

The icons are in .LZH files (in uncompressed format) for use with X-Finder.
You can just copy ICON.LZH and ICONFLD.LZH to either c:\_dat or a:\_dat and
run X-Finder. There are icons for PIMs, EXMs, some DOS apps, and for
several file extensions. If you use X-Finder to move the archives to their
directories, hit F1 (Init) afterward to re-initialize, and the new icons
should appear throughout the program.

The game icons won't automatically be used - you need to select the ones
you want, and copy them either to the directory with your games or to
ICON.LZH If you put them in the .LZH archive, they MUST be in uncompressed
format. Copying with X-Finder does it automatically!

BTW - The new version of XF wants the drive icons in ICON.LZH instead of
ICONFLD.LZH - so there's a file included called ICON2.LZH that has some for
local and remote drives (including icons that come with XF). I use this in
A:\_DAT as ICON.LZH

There is also an archive of extra icons that you may find useful. Like the
game icons these aren't set up for automatic incorporation into X-Finder.
There might be some here that you prefer to the ones in ICON.LZH or that
you could use with your favorite apps.
