This is a "demo" of the HTML version of the "1997 Griffith's 5 Minute Clinical Consultant". When you run the 5MCCDEMO.EXE program, it will create a directory called 5MCCDEMO and install the files in there. Once installed, you may delete the 5MCCDEMO.EXE file.

You will need a HTML viewer to use this package. Any web browser, like Netscape Navigator, will work. For the HP 100LX and 200LX palmtops, there is a freeware program called HV. It can be downloaded from Compuserve's HPHand forum as well as from the D&A software web page at http://www.dasoft.com. For Windows CE palmtops, you may use the built-in version of Microsoft's Internet Explorer. This package was designed for HP 100LX and 200LX palmtops. It was very breifly tested on a HP360 (Windows CE) and a desktop running Netscape.

Start by loading the file 5MCC\INDEX\DOCUMENT.HTM into your HTML viewer. This document will explain more about how to use this collection. This demo contains only the index file for letter Z, so you should only select that letter from the Main Index. You may select any of the files under letter Z. The page forward and page backward features may not work, since not all pages are included in this demo.

If you like this package, you may purchase the entire collection. First, you need to purchase either the book or CD ROM version of the information. The document file has information on how to contact the publisher. Since I don't have a license to sell the information in this collection, you have to own a copy yourself. Once you have a copy, I will be assisting you to convert your own copy to HTML for you own use. For $25 (US) I will E-mail you a copy of the entire book organized the same way as the demo files. For an additional $5 (US) I will mail you the collection on 3.5" disks.

The entire package is a bit over 6 Meg, so you must have that much free space available. For palmtops, this usually means purchasing a Flashcard to go in the PCMCIA slot. For desktop computers, you can store it on the hard drive. The files are E-mailed as a compressed, self-extracting archive. It will be a large file (1.7 Meg) named 5MCC.EXE. When you run the file, it will create a subdirectory called 5MCC on you disk and place all the files there. To install the package on a palmtop, you will need almost 8 Meg of free space initially. Once it is decompressed, you can delete the archive 5MCC.EXE to free up 1.7 Meg. You can also install it on your desktop and then move the files to your palmtop with a serial transfer program and appropriate cable.

You will need to provide proof of purchase for the book or CD version to order this HTML package. If you are not sure what will constitute adequate proof, feel free to ask me. To Order, please send $25 (US) for E-mail version or $30 (US) for E-mail plus disk version to:

You may send personal checks, but I will wait until they clear before sending anything. I can accept credit card numbers with expiration date and name (as it appears on the card). You can E-mail credit cards, but plain Internet E-mail may not be secure enough to prevent a third party from intercepting your credit card number. E-mail within Compuserve or AOL is secure.
