Q.  I have the Cd version of X-com Ufo Defense And when I try to start the game I get  "Bad Command or Filename" scrolling down my screen over and over.
A. You must rerun the "cdsetup d:" command from your xcom directory and remember not to forget the colon. Substitute d: for your cd-rom drive letter if it is different.

Q. I have the Cd version of X-com Ufo Defense and When I install the Patch it says in have some missing files
A. You must copy the entire game to your hard drive first by using the Xcopy command before installing the patch. You can do this by typing "Xcopy d:\*.* /s /e" from your c:\mps\ufo directory. You then install the patch file to your hard drive after the files are copied.

Q. I start my X-com Ufo Defense and I get the opening animation but then at the end of the Animation it ends with a long beep and goes to a black screen.
A. You did not select the correct IRQ or DMA Channel when configuring your sound card. Double check your sound card settings and reconfigure your sound card in the sound setup of the game. You can get into the sound setup by typing "setup" from your X-com directory where you have the game installed.

Q. In My X-com: "Terror From the Deep" game at the end of a 2 stage mission, all the artifacts, bodies and live Aliens are not retrieved. 
A.  You need the Version 2.0 update of  Terror From the Deep. The name of this file is Tftdv2.zip .    You can download this File directly from our Website (http://www.microprose.com), or our ftp site  (ftp.microprose.com).

Q. In my X-com: "Terror from the Deep" game I want to be able to play the game without having my CD in my CD-ROM drive. 
A. You can install the game completely to your hard drive by going to the  "harddrive" directory from your cd-rom drive.  This will take approximately 25 megs of hard drive space. You will no longer get the opening animation sequence of the game, but it will still work correctly.
