Protech 386 desktop

Rather high-end 386 desktop PC, with 40MHz AMD CPU, sockets for one bank of 30-pin SIMMs and 2 72-pin modules. Primarily it had 16MB in one stick, later upgraded to 24MB. It has a math co-processor made by ULSI rated for 40MHz.
These mainboards were known as very advanced 386s and they were sold only by Protech and Adax. Trident 1MB video board allows to reach 256 colours in 1024x768 resolution without problems. This computer looks like a budget CAD station.

Starting

Very typical mainboard in which you can put lots of memory. BIOS Setup offers some disabled options looking like for 486. In most cases you can put lower waitstates on cache and it will work.
