Toshiba Satellite T2150CDS

1995 was a year of starting multimedia era. Databases, e-books, knowledge banks and encyclopaedias were published on CD-ROM discs, allowing to store up to 700MB in one optical disc. To support multimedia technologies CD-ROM drive and sound card were needed, good video card for animation support was recommended. It was possible with VLB mainboard slot giving better video capabilities and wide variety of CD-ROM + sound card packages. Notebooks were small and had less expansion capabilities. Fortunately many companies developed multimedia-capable notebooks with CD-ROM drives, sound chips and color displays. Toshiba Satellite 2150 was one of these new multimedia notebooks. It has a 486DX4 processor clocked 75 or 100MHz, it had 4MB of RAM expandable by module up to 28MB and 520MB hard disk. It had built-in double-speed CD-ROM drive. This notebook works well with Windows 3.x and 95.

Well, this thing just boots to OS.  To get to Setup you need to hold ESC key and power it on, it'll throw a keyboard error, hit F1 then and you're in Setup. It's quite simple, don't expect much settings.

There may be a problem with non-English keyboard layout as this Toshiba has ONLY left Alt key. To type for example with Polish keyboard you have to press Ctrl-Alt instead of Alt. tested in Windows 95.
