fighter of WWII. It has one de Havilland Goblin centrifugal turbojet,
capable of producing 3,100 pounds of thrust. It first flew on
20 September 1943, but due to production problems could not be in squadrons
by the end of WWII. It has a central nacelle, built of wood, containing
the pressurised cockpit ahead of the engine, with wing root inlets and a
short jet pipe. The tail was carried on twin booms, with the tailplane above
the jet efflux. Nicknamed the "Spider Crab", the prototype soon became the
first Allied aircraft to exceed 500 mph.

To use this aircraft, you will need the P-38
expansion disk, or you will have to of
substituted the files. Copy "VAMP.INT" to
your "CP" directory. Then copy "VAMPIRE.EXP"
to your "AC" directory. Make a back-up of
"P51B.SPC", and then rename "VAMPIRE.EXP" to
"P51B.SPC". Your Vampire is now in the P-51B
slot. If you don't want your P-51B moved,
then find an aircraft that you don't use and
substitute it for "P51B.SPC". I hope that you
	     enjoy this aircraft!
