HOT FROM THE ACHMER SECRET FLIGHT TEST FACILITY:
Announcing the winner of the RLM Emergency Fighter
Requirement: The Focke-Wolfe TA 183. The Emergency Fighter
Requirement went out in August, 1944, for a single seat jet
fighter based on the HeS 011A turbojet. March 1945: The
Focke-Wolfe "Huckebein" (Raven) is declared the winner, and
is immediately ordered into production. Had the war
continued, these jets would have certainly been built.
Barely larger than the Me163, it somewhat resembled a MiG 15
fighter (and the Me P.1101, another entry in the competition)
with a circular jet inlet in the nose and swept back wings.
Armament was 2 or 4 MK108 cannon, with 2 guns having 100
r.p.g. and the 4 cannon version having only room for 360
rounds. The requirement specified the capability to carry a
single 1102 pound bomb, which would have been recessed under
the centerline. Top speed was 590 M.P.H. at 22,970 feet,
with a ceiling of 45,930 feet.

INSTRUCTIONS: This is a debug of the ME262A.SPC file, which
is then copied into the BF109G6.SPC file. The exterior
graphics are that of the Me163. The plane also utilizes a
modified cockpit of the He162 <Grin> that is accessed
directly from the TA183.EXP file.

1. Make a backup copy of your BF109G6.SPC file, using DOS,
this is COPY BF109G6.SPC BF109G6.ORI --this must be done
for the batch files to work properly.

2. Copy TA183.EXP into your AC subdirectory
3. Copy TA183.INT into your CP subdirectory
4. Copy the TA183.BAT and NO183.BAT where ever you keep your
batch files. They will load and remove the TA183, all you
have to do is type the name and the Drive letter where
you have SWOTL installed, for example, type "TA183 C"
then load SWOTL. SWOTL will have the TA183 in the place
of the Bf109G6 for mission selection purposes.

I left on the R4Ms, as they would have been a logical follow-
on development (didn't somebody say that once? <G> )
Notice you must have the He162 in order to run this plane.
