Intercept Raid on Kothen

WEATHER: Nitefire recommended
INSERTS: None
MIN.TIME: 12:10
RADAR: FuG 218 Neptun (jammed)

you LOOK at the map, but not
       click on the aircraft)

The spritely maneuverability of the
Moskito would have made it a good
match for any twin-engined fighter,
such as the Mosquito. The Me262B-1a
had become a partial solution to
the Mosquito problem by 1945, but
there just weren't enough of them.
Even had Me262B-1 or B-2a production
increased, the Me262 was still a poor
dogfighter; the Mosquito could turn
and roll much faster. In a battle
where the Me262Bs were trying to
concentrate on bombers, the presence
of Mosquito escorts could prevent
them from effectively engaging the
heavies, especially if the Mosquitos
waited for the Me262s to make their
turns to line up for attack passes.
The Ta154 could have redressed this
situation; it could have kept the
Mosquitos occupied while the Me262Bs
did the important jobs.
ORDERS:
Groups of bombers have been detected
heading for Kothen. A flight of Me262B-2as
has already been vectored to attack,
but Mosquitos activity has kept them at
bay. Engage and destroy the Mosquitos so
the 262s can go to work.
