"Spiderman" vs. "Batman"

WEATHER: Niteowl
INSERTS: None
RADAR: radar non-functional
       (no map - see text)

By early 1945, the design for
the Go229B, an all-weather
2-seat version of the Go229
carrying FuG 244 "Bremen"
centimetric radar, had been
completed. The Go229 V4 and V5
airframes were allocated as
prototypes for the new aircraft.
When US Troops occupied the
Gotha factory in May, 1945, the
V4 was in the final assembly
phase. If time had allowed,
the Go229B could have seen
action by early 1946, and
possibly late-late 1945 if
production had gone the way of
the He162 Volksjager. Its ap-
pearance here in SWOTN is akin
to a bat, hence the moniker this
author uses for it - "Fledermaus."
This scenario tests the relative
merits of the Fledermaus and the
Black Widow when pitted against
each other. As a flying wing, the
Fledermaus has some degree of
"stealth" characteristics.......

ORDERS:
You are on patrol deep inside the
Reich. Destroy any targets of op-
portunity. Your radar operator is
puzzled - he's getting signals,
"But they're all weird," he says.
DON'T USE YOUR MAP!!!!<g>
