                  The Heinkel He162B-1

The He162B-1 was a planned improvement to the He162 series,
having a lengthened fuselage which allowed the fuel capacity
to be increased to 314 imperial gallons, and was to use the
HeS 011A turbojet. The wing was also to be enlarged, and the
main armament was to be 2 x Mk 103 30mm cannon with 100
r.p.g. Maximum speed was estimated at 547 mph at sea level.

Additionally, other weapons were tested on the He162A
experimental models. One was the 15er Wabe, a R4M rocket pod
containing 15 rockets, and the other was the SG 117
Rohrblocktrommel, a set of 3 concentric groups of 7 Mk 108
30mm cannon barrels, firing upward with automatic photo-
electric triggering. I have included these two weapons as
options for the He162B-1.

I have left the other cannon types from the He162A available
as options. The R4Ms and Jadgfaust represent the 15er Wabe
and SG 117 respectively.
