D&A Software

D&A Software was founded in 1995 to create business-class software for the HP 100LX, 200LX, and 1000CX Palmtops. D&A ceased selling software on December 31, 2007 at midnight. All software we produced is now available as copyrighted freeware.

No support is provided for any of our products, althoug unofficially when we can we will assist. The best way to obtain support is to post the questions on the HPLX Forum, which is still active, and we participate in it as well as many other very knowledgeable and strongly talented individuals and avid Palmtoppers.

The main players behind D&A Software were Dara Khoyi and Avi Meshar, the original co-founders. David Shier and Andreas Garzotto joined within a few months and had major roles in the life of D&A Software.

Dara Khoyi, from Florida, left around 1996, and David Shier left around 1999. Andreas and Avi separated D&A Software into two parts in 2000, Andreas maintaining ownership over the code-base asset, and Avi keeping the world-wide marketing and sales rights.

In 2003 or 2004, Daniel Hertrich became the maintainer of the code and has done a superb job at making significant improvements and applied occasional fixes where needed.

Other people had very significant roles in the development of the software. Some wrote code ('lexu Gutfeldt, Tony Hutchins, Daniel), others added utilities (too many to list!). A special group of individuals served for years as the Beta testing group. All these individuals were very strong contributors to the high quality of the software produced by D&A Software.
