These utilities are to be used in conjunction with Premium SE BIOS release

    ENHANCEMENTS:

    - The EISA Configuration utility supports the 486 50 MHz processor board
      (part number 202465-001).

This is the initial production release of this software which incorporates
release 2.0 of the EISA Configuration utility from Micro Computer System,
Inc. (MCS).  This software is initially shipping with the Premium SE tower
systems (AST part number 500887-XXX).

*NOTE:  There have been no Software Production Releases between 1.07 and 2.0.

Includes enhancements and problem fixes of previous versions plus thefollowing:

    ENHANCEMENTS:

    - The README.TXT was modified to reflect conditions pertinent to the use
      of AST's DPT controller.

    - The program HDFORMAT.EXE has been updated to the most current release
      4.16.

    PROBLEMS RESOLVED:

    - If ASTTEST.EXE was aborted, the confidence test would give the error
      message "Drive A: not ready".

    - Modified CPU interrupt after INT13 calls to accommodate DPT's firmware.

    - Modified ASTEISA.OVL to sense any changes in drive type settings made
      by other setup programs.  The drive type selected by other setup
      programs will be reflected in EISACU.
