This release replaces the previous versions of the Premium Exec 386SX
Utilties, Part Number 910401-033.

    PROBLEMS RESOLVED:

    The following program has been changed in this release in order to
    resolve a problem with the previous version.

    ASTTEST.EXE Rel 1.13

    - Corrected problem with the VGA test sequence.

This release of the Premium Exec 386SX Utilities diskette replaces part
number 910401-032, Release 1.02.

    PROBLEMS RESOLVED:

    - The following program has been changed in this release to provide a
      problem fix of the previous release:

    ASTPORT.EXE Rel 1.01

    - Resolved problem of incorrect parallel port status messages displayed
      when the SUSPEND mode is enabled.

    This release of the Premium Exec 386SX Utilities diskette replaces part
    number 910401-031, Release 1.01 and will run only on systems using
    release 1.06 system BIOS.

    ENHANCEMENTS:

    The following program has been added to the previous release:

    ASTPORT.EXE Rel 1.00

    - This program is required to toggle the parallel port between AT-mode,
      (uni-directional), and PS/2 mode, (bi-directional).  Use of this
      program will ensure proper operation of parallel devices requiring uni-
      directional signals, (i.e., Rainbow Technologies Sentinel Program and
      Pacific Rim parallel floppy drives).  ASTPORT.EXE will function only on
      systems with motherboards AST part number 202390-001 Rev X19 or above
      and 202390-002 Rev X8 or above.

    The following programs from the previous release have been changed or
    modified:

    SWSETUP.EXE Rel 2.18

    - Changed to support REMM.SYS on the 286 version of the Premium Exec
      Utilities.

    - Modified to accommodate CUA Library 2.10.

    ASTMENU.EXE Rel 3.05

    - Modified to accommodate CUA Library 2.10.

    HDFORMAT.EXE Rel 4.16

    - Modified to accommodate CUA Library 2.10.

This is the initial production release of the Premium Exec 386SX Utilities
shipped with AST Premium Exec 386SX/20 systems.

    DESCRIPTION:

    - The Premium Exec Utilities is a bootable diskette that provides system
      confidence testing.  Also, included is the user-friendly ASTMENU
      program that allows easy installation of AST Utilities through a menu-
      driven interface.
