                      PREMIUM II UTILITIES RELEASE 2.02

This release of the Premium II utilities is to be used in conjunction with
DOS 5.0.  Previous releases of the utilities (2.01 or below) will not operate
with DOS 5.0.

    ENHANCEMENTS:

    The following additions have been made to this release:

    SUPERPCK.COM

    - Hard disk cache program to enhance hard disk performance.  This program
      is used in the same way that ASTCACHE.COM was used on earlier releases
      of the utilities.

    PCKWIN.SYS

    - Hard disk cache device driver to enhance hard disk performance under
      Windows 3.0.

    PCKWIK.SYS

    - Driver program which provides support for "Bernoulli Box" fixed drives.

Note:  This release of the Premium II utilities will not be used to update
       any utilities diskettes or upgrade kits.  It will be installed on the
       AST On-line! BBS only.

    PROBLEMS RESOLVED:

    ASTEST.EXE rel 2.01

    - Intermittent keyboard test failure problem has been fixed

    - Test now operates with DPT Host Bus Adapter installed in system.

This is the initial production release of this software.  It must be used in
conjunction with Premium II BIOS release 2.00 (part numbers 237826-001 A and
237827-001 A).  These utilities are CUA II compliant and support the 486SX-20
processor card (part number 202436-001).
