This diskette allows the user to easily upgrade the system BIOS by writing a new image of the system BIOS to the Empire (DAC960). Release 1.22 of the Empire (DAC960) supersedes all previous releases of the BIOS. This BIOS provides the following problem resolutions and enhancements: The file ID.DAT was corrected to allow the mixing of disk drives made by different manufacturers. This file causes the controller to round the capacity of the drive to a uniform size. The drives added to the file were: Seagate ST31200N (1GB) Quantum Empire 540S (500MB) Production Release: 1.21 Available: June 1994 Release 1.21 of the Empire (DAC960) supersedes all previous releases of the BIOS. This BIOS provides the following problem resolutions and enhancements: PROBLEMS RESOLVED The file ID.DAT was corrected to allow the mixing of drives made by different manufacturers. This driver must be used when memory managers (such as HIMEM.SYS and EMM386.EXE) are used.
