              MANHATTAN SMP EMPIRE MICROSOFT NT DRIVERS/UTILITIES

This is an updated version of Empire (DAC960) driver and utility software for
Microsoft NT.

This diskette allows the user to easily upgrade the system BIOS by writing a
new image of the system BIOS to the Empire (DAC960).

Release 1.10 of the Empire (DAC960) supersedes all previous releases of the
BIOS.  This BIOS provides the following enhancements:

        ENHANCEMENTS:

        - The previous versions of the driver supported system packs of only
          8 GB in size.  The updated version of the drivers support sytem packs
          of up to 32 GB. The current release of this software is located in
          the Manhattan SMP section of AST's BBS and is titled "smp18.exe".

        NOTE: The size limitation on the first system drive under WINNT remains
              at 2024MB. Please refer to the README file on the disk.

This diskette replaces P/Ns 910727-031.

        DESCRIPTION:

        - This is the first release of the Empire (DAC960) driver and utility
          software for Microsoft NT. The current release of this software is
          located in the Manhattan SMP section of AST's BBS and is titled
          "smp18.exe".
