    PROBLEM RESOLVED:

    - Resolved problem with the Sony CDU-31A-03 CD-ROM drive being mistaken
      as a Single-Speed drive.  The new driver can be loaded from the
      diskette or the file "SONYCDX2.EXE" located in the "systems" area can
      be downloaded from the AST Bulletin Board System.  The following
      Multimedia computers may have the Sony CDU-31A-03 drive installed:

               501275-XXX
               501276-002
               501309-XXX
               501348-001

     NOTE: Early MPC machines sold by AST were configured with a Sound
           Blaster card and either a CDU-31A-01 or -02 CD-ROM drive.  These
           drives are not Dual-Speed drives.  This updated driver DOES NOT
           make a Sony Single-Speed drive into a Dual-Speed drive.
