               DAC 960 DISK ARRAY CONFIGURATION DOCUMENTATION


PROBLEM:       The statement on page 5-3 of the Disk Array Configuration
               Utility guide (AST part number 001646-001 Revision A) reads as
               follows:

               "Although channel 0 is represented by four circles, you can
               access only SCSI IDs 0-2.

CAUSE:         The above statement is incorrect.

AFFECTED
SYSTEMS:       Premium SE and Manhattan.

SOLUTION:      Follow the correct statement below for the Disk Array
               Configuration:

               "Although channel 0 is represented by four circles, you can
               access only SCSI IDs 0-2 in Netware and SCSI IDs 2-3 in UNIX".

NOTE:  This information only pertains to connecting tape drives and CD-ROM
       sub-systems to CHANNEL 0 ON THE DAC 960 CONTROLLER.
