                PREMIUM TE SYSTEMS AND CUPID PROCESSOR CARDS


PROBLEM:       When installing an AST FastBoard 4/66D upgrade in a Premium TE
               system, the system will indicate only 4 megabytes of memory
               installed and hang when testing the memory cache, or emit one
               long beep.

CAUSE:         The FastBoard 4/50D, 4/66D, and Pentium upgrades are not
               supported in the Premium TE and some early models of the
               Premium SE systems.

AFFECTED
SYSTEMS:       Premium TE systems (M/B P/N202377-001)
               Premium SE systems (M/B P/N 202377-002)

SOLUTION:      AST Product Marketing has determined that this problem will
               not be fixed.
