                           PREMIUM SE AND CIPRICO


PROBLEM:       The Ciprico Rimfire 5600 EISA SCSI Drive Adapter locks the
               system up after the Ciprico ROM information is shown.  The
               system will report that it has found the adapter at the ROM
               address.  The system is locked at this point.  The part number
               of the Ciprico adapter is 82031000-06.

CAUSE:         The problem is attributed to an incompatibility with the
               Ciprico adapter part number 82031000-06 and the Premium SE
               system.

SYSTEMS
AFFECTED:      Premium SE system board (part number 202472-001).

SOLUTION:      Customers should contact their Ciprico reseller and update the
               Ciprico Rimfire 5600 adapter to a adapter with a part number
               of 82031000-07.
