                   POWER EXEC AND INTEL MATH CO PROCESSOR


PROBLEM:       A 30-60% failure rate will be experienced when running the
               Floating Point Conformance test using the Intel diagnostics
               shipped with the math coprocessor.  As a result of these
               failures, software using floating point calculations will
               cause the system to hang.

CAUSE:         Engineering has determined the fault to be with the Intel math
               coprocessor.

SYSTEMS
AFFECTED:      Power Exec 3/25 SL.

SOLUTION:      A Cyrix math coprocessor will work fine under the same
               environment until Intel puts out a new chip.
