          POWER STATION & CONFIGURATION OF IRWIN FLOPPY TAPE BACKUP


When configuring an Irwin floppy tape backup in the AST Power Station and
using Irwin EZTAPE Software version 2.X or above, be sure to complete the
steps listed below.  These steps should be followed after installing the
Irwin tape drive in the Power Station and the EZTAPE software has been
completed.

     Step A:   Enable the secondary floppy controller:

               1.  Under Power Station Options in the Power Exec System
                   Setup, set the "Floppy Drive B" field to "360 KB 5.25".


     Step B:   Enable the software to recognize the secondary floppy
               I/O address:

               1.  Add the line "SET ALTFDC=P:370" to the Power Exec's
                   AUTOEXEC.BAT file.

     Step C:   Reboot the Power Exec before running the EZTAPE
               program.
