           AST'S EMPIRE DISK SUB-SYSTEM AND SCO MAXIMUM DISK SIZE


PROBLEM:       SCO's UNIX and ODT operating systems report a system drive
               size of 901 megabytes when a system drive is configured for 5
               gigabytes.

CAUSE:         SCO's UNIX and ODT operating systems recognize a maximum
               system drive size of 4 gigabytes.

AFFECTED
SYSTEMS:       All AST computer systems using the AST Empire Disk Array Sub-
               system.

SOLUTION:      Configure system drives for 4 gigabytes or less.
