                           PALMPAD-SL LCD CONTRAST

PROBLEM:       The LCD display appears darker on the right hand side. (This
               problem has been reported by Norand.)

CAUSE:         Heat generated by the inverter module that powers the CCF
               fluorescent backlight tube.

SYSTEMS
AFFECTED:      PalmPad 386-SL, part number G242360
               PalmPad Norand, part number P224N

SOLUTION:      Adjust the brightness level of the backlighting as well as the
               standby time-out.
