        POWEREXEC 4/33 SL OS/2 INSTALLATION FROM FLOPPY DISK FAILS


PROBLEM:        In the PowerExec, with system BIOS 2.22 or higher, the Cannon
                floppy drive fails OS/2 installation.

CAUSE:          The Cannon floppy drive does not complete certain functions in
                an "AT compatible" timely fashion.  This causes BIOS level I/O
                to fail.

SOLUTION:       Replace the existing drive with the current available drive
                from AST.  Currently available drives do not exhibit this
                failure.
