       NEC 3X CD-ROM DRIVE NOT FITTING IN THE POWERSTATION


PROBLEM:        The triple speed NEC CD-ROM drive will not fit in the
                PowerStation.  The drive's front bezel interferes with the
                PowerStation cover.

CAUSE:          The NEC CD-ROM drive uses a unique bezel that does not clear
                the plastic cover on the PowerStation.  A .060" clearance is
                needed for a proper fit.

SYSTEMS
AFFECTED:       All PowerStations with a triple speed NEC CD-ROM drive.

SOLUTION:       Customers experiencing a fit problem with the NEC 3X CD-ROM
                drive can contact NEC at 1-800-NEC-INFO to arrange for a
                replacement bezel that will fit in the PowerStation.

CAUTION:        In no case will AST Research, Inc. be liable for damage to the
                system or loss  of data caused by improper or faulty
                installation of this drive.
