AST RESEARCH, INC TECHNICAL BULLETIN # 0929 5-10-94 POWEREXEC 05.04 MEMORY ERROR ON POST PROBLEM: During the Power On Self Test, some PowerExec notebooks display the following error message: 05.04 the computer has a memory problem... error address 01:3000:000 found FFFF expected 0000. This message is extremely rare and does not in any way effect the performance of the system. CAUSE: Cache was not disabled during execution of the memory sizing algorithm. SYSTEMS AFFECTED: All PowerExec notebook computers. SOLUTION: Press the key and continue to boot the computer. The system will continue to operate normally.
