                         POWEREXEC COLORPLUS SCREEN FLICKER

PROBLEM:        Some PowerExec ColorPlus LCD screens may experience screen
                flicker in either a DOS or a Windows application.

CAUSE:          The Western Digital 90C26 video chip used on the PowerExec
                needs to have its own specific driver loaded to fully optimize
                its performance.

SOLUTION:       To optimize the PowerExec’s video performance, do the following:

                1. Install the AST PowerExec Video Driver. This driver is
                   available on the AST BBS, in the Systems file area.
                   The file name is PEVID1.EXE.
                2. Load Windows to load the driver.
                3. Reboot the system into either DOS or Windows. Once loaded,
                   the driver ensures the proper video operation on the
                   PowerExec ColorPlus system.
