                      ASCENTIA 900N ERROR MESSAGE ANOMALY

PROBLEM:        When running Microsoft’s Diagnostic Utility program MSD.EXE,
                shipped with the system, the following error message is
                displayed:

                     "dAST Ascentia 900N Rel. x.yy"

                Where the "x.yy" reflects the revision of the BIOS installed
                on the system.

CAUSE:          The information in the BIOS I.D. register is reported
                incorrectly causing the error message.

SOLUTION:       There is no corrective action planned for this error message,
                as it is a cosmetic issue.  This error message does not affect
                the correct operation of the system.  The remaining information
                provided in the MSD.EXE program is still valid.
