TECHNICAL BULLETIN # 0947 6-24-94 ASCENTIA 900N AND MEGAHERTZ MODEM PROBLEM: When running PROCOM PLUS under DOS in Windows, the Megahertz modem echoes multiple characters on the screen in response to the AT&V command. This problem occurs intermittently with 50 Mhz and continuously with 75 Mhz. CAUSE: Modem-specific problem with Megahertz PCMCIA P/N CC324FM, UPC # 09030. Megahertz will gladly exchange the product for the XJ124FM modem model. This is the XJACK version of the modem and has been verified to be compatible with the Ascentia 900N. Contact the Megahertz Support Center at (801) 320-7000. 2. Megahertz will gladly upgrade the modem through their upgrade program. Contact Megahertz Sales Support at (800) 527-8677, ext. 6772. The price is dependent upon the new modem chosen. 3. Return the modem to the place of purchase for a full refund. Contact the Megahertz Support Center at (801) 320-7000 if there are any difficulties in returning the item. 4. If the modem in question is an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) modem that appears to be a Megahertz modem, return the item to the company whose name appears on the modem.
