  PCBENCH DIAGNOSTICS TOOL REPORTING CYRIX PROCESSOR ON THE BRAVO MT 4/100


PROBLEM:        When running the PCBENCH diagnostics tool, the system's
                information test reports the 4/100 Intel processor as a Cyrix
                processor.

CAUSE:          Both the Intel P24C (in Bravo 100 Mhz) and the Cyrix CPU have
                the same CPU ID of 480h.  The same address location causes the
                PCBENCH diagnostics tool to read the processor as a Cyrix and
                not an Intel.

SOLUTION:       Since the PCBENCH diagnostics tool identifies a Cyrix
                processor, use another diagnostics tool to confirm that you
                have an Intel processor.
