                         BUS LOGIC BT-946C PCI SCSI ADAPTER


PROBLEM:        Unable to install the Bus Logic BT-946C Fact SCSI adapter in
                AST PCI compatible systems.  When the ISA Configuration
                Utility is run to install the board, the message "Function has
                too many I/O port values" is generated, and the card cannot be
                configured to operate in the system.

CAUSE:          The Bus Logic adapter cannot be configured by the AST system
                BIOS as a Plug and Play adapter.

SYSTEMS
AFFECTED:       All AST PCI compliant systems.

SOLUTION:       Contact Bus Logic and obtain an updated version of the
                BT-946C-the BT 946C"a".  Bus Logic can be reached at
