         BRAVO LC 4/50S NOISE WITH GRAPHICS ADAPTERS AND SOUND BOARDS


PROBLEM:        The Bravo LC 4/50s system may experience loud static and
                distorted sounds during play when using a Creative Labs Sound
                Blaster 16, CT2230 with either a New Media Graphics Super
                Video (single input, version E1) Windows adapter card or an
                Intel Action Media II DVI adapter card.  The DVI application
                software can not access the hardware.

CAUSE:          Incompatibility between the sound board and system board
                P/N 202594-103, revision X14 or lower.

SOLUTION:       Upgrade the system board (P/N 202594-103) to revision X15 or
                higher.

STATUS
VERIFICATION:   The revision level of the AST system board can be identified
                by observing the revision letter at the end of the nine-digit
                part number located on the component side of the system board.
