The Bravo MT system hangs when trying to connect to an IBM AS/400 system through an SAA Gateway. The system displays a message that the LAN server is disconnected after 10-15 minutes of inactivity when, in fact, the LAN connection is still there. 2. After loading the Thomas Conrad driver TCTOKSH and trying to copy files, the system returns several ABORT, RETRY, FAIL error messages. CAUSE: Incompatibility between the Thomas Conrad TC4045 Token Ring card and the IBM host environment. SYSTEMS AFFECTED: AST PART NUMBER DESCRIPTION 501278-008 BRAVO MT SOLUTION: Use an IBM LANSUP driver instead of the Thomas Conrad TCTOKSH driver. The following is an example of all driver configurations in AUTOEXEC.BAT: LSL LANSUP ROUTE IPXODI NETX N:LOGIN Add the following lines to the CONFIG.SYS file: DEVICE= DXMA0MOD.SYS DEVICE= TCC_CPI.EXE B=2X DEVICE= TCC_AHI.EXE Modify the Link driver option to LANSUP instead of TCTOKSH in NET.CFG. Edit NET.CFG as follows: LINK DRIVER LANSUP PREFERRED SERVER= FRAME TOKEN-RING PORT=1A20 NDMA INT=9 SHOW DOTS=ON SPX CONNECTIONS=60 SPX ABORT TIMEOUT=2000 Save the configuration and reboot the system.
