TECHNICAL BULLETIN # 1062A 5-17-95 = PREMMIA GX, MX AND ATI MOUSE DRIVER PROBLEM When using a Premmia GX system with the ATI PCI Mach64 video driver, the mouse cursor leaves traces on the screen in Word for DOS. CAUSE The ATI PCI Mach64 video driver, revision 1.1, is incompatible with the Word for DOS mouse driver. SYSTEMS AFFECTED AST PART NUMBER AND DESCRIPTION 501457-XXX PREMMIA GX P/90 501522-XXX PREMMIA GX P/100 501577-XXX PREMMIA MX P/60 SOLUTION Use ATI PCI Mach64 video driver, revision 1.53 (AST P/N 911374-310, 911374-311, and 911374-312). This driver supports Word for DOS 5.5 in VGA mode, and Word for DOS 6.0 in both VGA and hi-resolution modes. Download files 11374310.EXE, 11374311.EXE, and 11374312.EXE from AST's BBS, "Systems" file area. These files contain revision 1.53 of the ATI PCI Mach64 video driver.
