				    8x14 FONT SUPPORT FOR AST SYSTEMS


PROBLEM

The display on AST systems with video modes that use the 8x14 font may be 
corrupted.

CAUSE

The 8x14 font was removed from the VGA BIOS.

SYSTEMS AFFECTED
AST PART NUMBER AND DESCRIPTION

All systems using Cirrus Logic 5430/5434 VGA chip.

SOLUTION

Use the TSRFONT program located in the VGAUTIL subdirectory or make a copy of 
the driver, diskette #1.  This program may be loaded from AUTOEXEC.BAT.
