	 ADVANTAGE! ADVENTURE XXXX LOSS OF DATA IN SETUP AFTER RUNNING
						  CD-ROM GAMES

PROBLEM

After running certain CD-ROM games on the Advantage! Adventure XXXX, the 
system may experience a loss of time, date, and hard disk data once the 
machine is turned OFF and restarted.

CAUSE

Certain CD-ROM games such as "Doom" attempt to access memory that is allocated 
to video shadow RAM.  This shadowing can not be disabled and may cause 
conflicts such as those documented above.

SOLUTION

When running specific CD-ROM games, AST recommends that the C000 range be 
excluded in the EMM386 statement of the CONFIG.SYS file.
