			    BRAVO MS P/90 MEMORY ERROR WITH IBM SIMMS


PROBLEM

When booting DOS 6.2X on a Bravo MS P/90 (or any other system with motherboard 
part number 202654-XXX) and running HIMEM.SYS, the following error message may 
be displayed:

	"ERROR: HIMEM.SYS has detected unreliable extended memory at 
	 address XXXXXXXXh."

(The XXXXXXXXh indicates a memory address that may vary between systems.)

CAUSE

HIMEM.SYS fails on the Bravo MS P/90 system with some models of IBM SIMMs.

SYSTEMS AFFECTED
AST PART NUMBER AND DESCRIPTION

Any desktop system with motherboard part number 202654-XXX. 

SOLUTION

If the system is using IBM SIMMs with part number IBM11D1320BB-70 
(AST P/N 104000-238), these SIMMs are not compatible with the Bravo MS P/90 
and other systems using the above mentioned motherboard part number, and 
should be replaced.

Note: Other IBM SIMMs with the IBM part number IBMXXXXXXXBB-XX may also be 
incompatible.
