			    INFORMA FAILS TO LOAD FROM SHARED VOLUME


This is an informational bulletin.

AST Informa is a software product available by subscription to AST server 
customers.  The software package is a Windows-based reference library that 
includes information regarding the products of AST and many other networking 
vendors.  The library includes technical bulletins, software fixes, and 
drivers, as well as thousands of articles from Ziff-Davis magazines 
(PC WEEK, PC WORLD, ETC.).

AST has distributed several thousand copies of a special TRIAL EDITION of 
Informa.  The Trial Edition will only run 8 times, and then the CD DISC can 
no longer be used.

ISSUES

Due to the nature of this Trial product, it may not be run from a shared 
volume or from a network drive. 

This trial product can only be run from a workstation with a local CD-ROM 
drive.

If you run the installation program from a shared drive, the installation will 
fail and you will be prompted to call AST support at 1-800-727-1278.

If you try to re-install on a local workstation and are still unsuccessful, 
call back to AST SERVER SUPPORT at 1-800-727-1278 prompts 4, 4, 3.
