	    MANHATTAN P AND V AND DISK POWER MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE UNDER 
						   NETWARE 3.11


PROBLEM

AST's Disk Power Management software for the Manhattan P and V series systems 
will not load when running Novell Netware version 3.11.  The error message 
states that the module "NWSNUT.NLM could not be found."


CAUSE

Netware 3.11 does not contain some library modules which are required for 
AST's Disk Power Management software.

SOLUTION  

Novell provides a set of library updates for their older software.  Installing 
these library updates will allow AST's Disk Power Management software to load 
and function properly under Netware 3.11.  The updates can be found on 
CompuServe, in the "NOVFILES" forum (Go NOVFILES) and the Internet, at 
ftp.novell.com.  These updates may also be available through other channels 
from Novell.  

The file name for these updates is "LIBUP4.EXE".  This self-extracting file 
should be downloaded and installed on the 3.11 server, which will allow 
DPMMON.NLM and DPMCON.NLM to load and run.
