			  BRAVO MS 4/100T HANGS IN OPTIMIZATION PROCESS


PROBLEM

QEMM 7.5 hangs when performing the (QEMM386.SYS) optimization process on the 
Bravo MS 4/100T system. 


CAUSE

Quarterdeck's QEMM 7.5 (in which the QEMM386.SYS file is dated 
September 17,1994 or October 12, 1994) has trouble resizing XMS handles in 
the Bravo MS 4/100T system, a glitch that can interfere with XMS based disk 
caches (such as SMARTDRIVE) preventing the system from exiting and then 
reloading Microsoft Windows.

All AST systems using QEMM 7.5.


SOLUTION

Quarterdeck has released a patch called QPAT2.EXE.  This patch is in a 
self-extracting archive file which is located on CompuServe, in the
