			   MANHATTAN G 560 and G 590 BIOS DISTINCTION 


This is an informational bulletin.  

The Manhattan G server is available as both a 60MHz and a 90MHz machine.  
These two machines, the Manhattan G560 and G590 respectively, each use a 
different system BIOS.

The Manhattan G 560 uses an NCR 8100 PCI SCSI controller.  The SCSI control 
BIOS is integrated into the Manhattan G560’s system BIOS.  The current part 
number and revision are listed below.

The Manhattan G590 uses an NCR 8150 PCI SCSI controller.  The SCSI control 
BIOS is located on the PCI controller itself, and is not included in the 
Manhattan G590's system BIOS.  The current part number and revision are 
listed below.

Flashing the wrong BIOS will result in an error, indicating that the BIOS 
could not reconfigure the system properly.
