   ADVANTAGE! ADVENTURE 80XX AST DATA/FAX/MODEM AND NEC 461 FAX MACHINE


PROBLEM

The Advantage! Adventure 80XX system can not send more than two pages of 
FAX from the FAXMODEM board to the stand alone FAX machine.

CAUSE

The Data/FAX/Modem P/N 202640-005 was incorrectly configured causing 
the NEC 461 FAX machine to have problems sending more than two pages.

SOLUTION

1. Run the Terminal program in Windows.  From the Terminal program's 
   "Settings" menu choose "Communication".  

2. Configure the proper communication settings for the Data/FAX/Modem. 

3. Choose the OK bottom. 

4. From the main screen, type the following AT commands: 
(Wait for the OK after entering each command.)  

	ATZ 

and press <Enter>

	AT&F 

and press <Enter>

	AT&W&W1 

and press <Enter>

5. Exit the Terminal program.  The initialization is now completed and the 
   problem has been corrected.

6. Run an appropriate communication software, such as WinLite, to make sure 
   that the above procedure fixes the problem on the Data/FAX/Modem with the 
   NEC 461 FAX machine.
