TECHNICAL BULLETIN # 1168 4-26-95 = CORRUPT NVRAM ERROR WITH MANHATTAN P PROBLEM Manhattan P servers using the dual-channel integrated NCR SCSI controller may exhibit an error message on boot, indicating that the NVRAM is corrupt, bad, or has been lost. CAUSE EISA configuration has assigned the NCR SCSI controllers' memory address to an address that is in use by the system board's resources. EISA Configuration has not reserved the space for the system resources, and assigns the space to the integrated NCR SCSI controllers. SYSTEMS AFFECTED AST PART NUMBER AND DESCRIPTION REVISION 501502-XXX Manhattan P5090 Non-disk array models SOLUTION AST EISA Configuration Utility (EISACU) release 1.06 (AST Part Number 911371-037) reserves the correct system board resources, and will assign the integrated NCR SCSI controllers to another address.
