BRAVO MS P-60 P.O.S.T. BEEP 3-6-3 WITH PCI VIDEO PRO LIGHTNING


PROBLEM

When a PCI Video Card Pro Lightning is installed in a Bravo MS P-60, 
the system may beep (3-6-3) at POST.  The 3-6-3 sequence means there is no 
video RAM detected.


CAUSE

Colorgraphics discovered a bus timing issue with a PAL chip on their PCI 
video adapter.

SOLUTION

Upgrade the PAL at location U24 on the Colorgraphics PCI video adapter.  
The new PAL puts the bus timing back in syncronization by increasing the 
nano seconds from 7 to 15 on the PAL chip itself.
