			   ASCENTIA 900N 32-BIT ACCESS IN WINDOWS 3.11


PROBLEM

Once the BIOS is updated on the Ascentia 900N system to version 2.02, 
the system will not allow 32-bit disk access in Windows 3.11 and Windows 
for Workgroups.


CAUSE

The system is using a BIOS release earlier than 2.50.

SOLUTION

Upgrade the system BIOS to revision 2.50 (AST part number 905528-317) or 
higher.  

To obtain this part number, do one of the following:

1. Call AST Technical Support at (800) 727-1278.
2. Contact the local AST Authorized Service Center.
3. Download file <A HREF="ftp://ftp.ast.com/P-BIOS/05528317.EXE">05528317.EXE</A> from AST's BBS (817) 230-6850, the "Systems" 
   file area.  AST's BBS supports modem speeds up to 28.8k bps.  The above
